Engaged!
I sorted through my cards recently as I was donating several cards to OWH (Operate Write Home) and came across this card I made several years ago and just had to post. The stamp is from The Stampin' Place in Minnesota and don't even know if it is available any more. Just a fun and cute card for anyone recently engaged. Our two children have been married for some time and we have five grandchildren so I think an engagement card is beyond my use:)

Time for Sunflowers
This image from Hampton Art Stamps has been in my repertoire forever. I colored the image with copics and then cut and embossed with the large oval Nestability. I airbrushed the edges with a copic. The based cardstock is from Bazzill and the dp is from BasicGrey's Origin collection. The punch is from Martha Stewart Crafts.
Now time to play with a PSX sunflower image. As you can tell from my blog header, I love sunflowers and years ago, had them in my garden.

Queen Anne's Lace
I was digging through my stash of cards the other day searching for a birthday card and found this card I made last summer (prior to starting my blog so thought I would post). The PSX image was embossed with sage green ink and clear embossing powder and mounted on dark green cardstock. The base cardstock is some beautiful fibrous paper I've hoarded for quite some time. I then added flower soft to the flowers. Very simple.

Butterfly Note Cards
Here's the gift set I created to give to a friend's mother for her 90th birthday. I made two of each color along with the 4-1/4" square envelopes and butterfly postage stamps. I have a clear gift box so should be a nice presentation.
Now I'm ready to move onto creating something for late summer or fall. I've already been stocking up on some of the newly released products for autumn and the holidays. Fun! Fun!

Second View of Butterfly Note Card
You can see the vellum overlay of this note card with a side view. I also want to thank my friend Karen for helping me get my mojo back by helping re-organize my stamp room after much travelling, company and illness. Thanks, Karen!!!
My husband is on vacation this week and our daughter and her family will be visiting so not much stamping will get accomplished. It will be wonderful to be surrounded by family. Hope you're having a good weekend and we'll be spending some time on the boat this afternoon with friends enjoying the warm, muggy weather. It's okay 'cause winter is just around the corner! Happy August!
Note Card
Why am I not able to post more than one picture??? Need some help here from bloggin' friends!!! Anyway, I've been wanting to use the Butterfly set from Spellbinder's to create these little note cards. I cut the base with the largest butterfly die from DCWV cardstock and then cut the overlay out of this beautiful vellum I have been hoarding forever. I will post another picture showing a side view. I cut the sentiment using the Spellbinder's long deckle rectangles. Added a little bow and some pearls. I'm thinking I will create several of these to use as gift sets.
Scrap Challenge
Another challenge for our monthly stamp club was to use scraps left over from other projects. Thanks to a suggestion from a stampin' friend, I used the CCEE 1030 sketch challenge to use some BasicGrey's Wisteria scraps I had by my workspace. The main image is from Kitchen Sink Stamps and the stentiment is from Flourishes. I cut the lilac image with Spellbinder's Nestabilities Oval die and then layered it on purple cardstock cut with Labels 10. The sentiment was cut with smaller Nestie ovals. The base cardstock is Bazzill. I invested in a wonderful artist's air compressor this year and love highlighting my images with Copics. The compressor is very quiet and runs very little when in use. Probably one of the best "large" stamping purchases I've made!
