Having fun with Gelatos

Gelatos are my new favorite coloring tool!

The background was created by coloring various green Gelatos on a Stampin' Place background stamp.  Spritzed the stamp lightly with water and pressed the water color paper onto the stamp.  The bottom was trimmed with one of the new Spellbinder border dies and mounted onto a teal card base.

The Judikins dragonfly was stamped directly onto the background design with black ink and colored with Smooch ink.  I stamped the wings again in black ink on white cardstock and trimmed.  I then glittered the wings and attached.  Added some teal pearls for the eyes and done.

If you haven't tried Gelatos, I highly recommend giving them a whirl with your creativity.

Penny Black Stickers and Spellbinders

My friend, Marie, gave me these die cuts from Spellbinder's called Fancy Ribbon Threader.  I don't know if this is part of their card creator series but it should be!

The die creates the entire card front.  All you have to do is add ribbon and the main image.  Marie's card inspired me to do the same with my stash of Penny Black stickers.  All three cards are created using PB stickers including the sentiments.  You can have a beautiful card in just a few minutes.  Thanks again, Marie, for the die cuts and inspiration!

Sketch Challenge

Karen provided this really cool sketch for our stamp club this month.

The main image is from Hero Arts and colored with Copics.  The paper is from My Minds Eye and distressed with Antique Linen as was the white card base.  The sentiment is from TAC and may be available at Red Rubber Designs.  I cut the circle with a circle Nestability die from Spellbinders.  I punched pin marks along the sides of the designer paper using Tim Holtz's ruler so the holes are evenly spaced.  Added a bit of ribbon and done.  Very simple but elegant.
