March Stamp Club Challenge

My fellow club member, Gail, gave our group a tri-fold window card as our challenge.  At first, it stumped me since the window was on the middle panel....hmm.  I knew I wanted to use a new Art Impressions stamp I bought at the Madison stamp show last November.....but how to design the remainder of the card???  I stamped the image on water color paper with black archival ink and water colored the image with Tim Holtz's new Distress Crayons.  Let me tell you, the crayons are awesome!  I colored the crayons on an acrylic block and then picked up the colors with a water brush since this was a small image.  It would have been too difficult to color with the crayons directly onto the stamped image and then move around with water.

Next, I adhered designer paper to the back panel and then adhered the water color piece.  I also added the same designer paper on the outside of the middle panel, cutting an opening for the window prior to adhering.

The front was cut with a border die from Our Daily Bread Designs (Spellbinders).  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I added sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the sentiment.  Once I figured out how I wanted this designed, it was a piece of cake.
