Fun with Foil

I've been having crafty fun playing with stencil paste (any kind) and foil (any kind).  I will also share this creation over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

The stencil is from Dreamweavers.  I applied stencil paste over the image and let dry.  Once dry, place foil color of choice over the image and run through a laminator.  Awesome!

With Sympathy

Another clean and simple sympathy card for a card exchange.

Pretty straight forward.  The main image is from Impression Obsession and colored with distress markers, spritzed with water and stamped.  Not visible in the photo but I added clear Wink of Stella to the dragonfly wings and water.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Happy Valentine's Day!

When I saw this new butterfly die release at Penny Black, I just had to have it!  You know how it is!

I made this card for a good friend:)  The designer paper is from Memory Box but from quite a few years ago.  I don't even know if they market designer paper any more.  The leaf/stem die is also from Memory Box.  Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day!

I created this tag for my friend Pat's birthday which also happens to be on Valentine's Day!  She's travelling to West Asia for a fantastic two week trip!  Lucky girl!  Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day, Pat!  I'm also entering this tag on Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

I began with a watercolor tag from Prima and covered it with designer paper from 7 Gypsies.  I then placed a heart stencil from Simon Says Stamp on the tag and stenciled with Antique Linen distress ink.  I also used the same ink along the edges of the tag.

I stamped the doll image from Prima (Julie Nutting) onto heavy weight card stock and colored with Copic markers and paper pieced the skirt with Martha Stewart valentine paper.  The sentiment is a die from W plus 9 and I layered onto Stick-It and foam to create a raised image and then distressed with Antique Linen ink.

The lace is from Hero Arts and the bling is from Marianne Designs.

Thinking of You

Here's another card I created for our card exchange.

The main image stamp is from Design Junkies.  There are so many ways to be creative with this stamp!  The birds are from Stampscapes and the sentiment from Endless Creations.

Card Exchange

I recently participated in a card exchange among a group of friends and this is one of the sympathy cards I created.  We could pretty much decide what we wanted to create so that leaves the door open for a wide range of creativity.

The main image is from Stampendous and one of my very favorite stamps!  I first stamped the image in dark brown ink and then dust some anti-static powder over the image.  (Be sure the image is completely dry).  Stamp the image again in Versamark and emboss with white embossing powder.  The butterfly is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment is from Endless Creations.

Stamp Club Challenge for February

I don't have much in the way of Valentine-type paper in my stash but this one pad from Martha Stewart from a year ago.  This was a fun sketch that Ann provided so, of course, had to make a Valentine card since we meet on the 14th!

The coffee cup die is from Penny Black and the heart stamp is from Joy Crafts.  Getting all my goodies pulled together to mail my Valentine packages!  Have a great one!

Challenge for January Stamp Club

I made this card so long ago and forgot to write down the companies for each product!  Sorry!

Very hard to see but the card front is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.  The circle snowflake die is from Memory box and cut from mirror card stock.

Stamp Club Shoe Box

Just noticed I haven't posted on my blog in over a month!  Have some projects but didn't have the ambition (bad cold) to post.  This was supposed to be one of our shoe boxes for January but due to a snow storm - that didn't happen!  I will be sharing with our group in March.....when we'll be eagerly awaiting spring but oh well.  I think this is a cool technique and want to share.

This is foil resist and I had shared other cards recently using this technique.

Begin with a piece of foil cut to size.  Then rub Staz-On ink across the foil.  Take an embossing folder and rub Versamark ink onto the debossed side of the folder.  (I used the Stampin' Up tree embossing folder in this sample.)  Place your foil with the inked side facing the debossed side of the embossing folder and run through your die machine.  Remove foil from embossing folder and sprinkle with white glitter embossing powder and heat set.

The dies are from Penny Black and Memory Box.
