Fairy and Butterflies

More fun playing with Nuvo mousse, glimmer paste, stencils and new dies!

The butterfly stencil is from Memory Box.  I applied Nuvo mousse and then immediately followed with Nuvo clear glimmer paste.  The fairy die is from Sizzix cut from white card stock and colored with pink Nuvo mousse.  I attached this piece to a pink glitter card base and added a few sequins.  Think this will be the perfect birthday card for one of my granddaughters.

Playing with Stencils

This is a newer stencil from a company I've never heard of until recently called Die Cuts & More.  Two stencils come together in the package and you can layer them to achieve the look below.  I had also recently received the entire set of Tim Holtz's (Ranger) Distress Oxide inks (awesome!) and used them for the first time on this card.  I used them like distress inks instead of spritzing with water this time just because I wanted this color combination.  They go on card stock like a dream and are so soft looking and look like suede!

I will also be sharing this card over at Just Us Girls Weekly Challenge.

The sentiment is a die from Penny Black.

Peacock Feather

Here's another creation using Nuvo mousse and glimmer paste and a stencil from Stencil Girl.

I used the same technique as in my previous post.  Using heavy card stock, I secured the stencil with removable tape.  I then added several different colors of Nuvo mousse and then added a layer of clear glimmer paste over the mousse.  Such a fun and easy technique.  Give it a try!

Nuvo Mousse and Glimmer Paste

Recently, a few of my stamping friends got together and we spent an afternoon playing with stencils.  Over the next few posts, I will be sharing some of my creations.  I will also be sharing this card over at the Paper Players blog for this weeks challenge.

The stencil in this card is from Crafter's Workshop.  I adhered the stencil to heavy duty white card stock and added two different colors of Nuvo mousse to each of the two feathers with a sponge.  I then took a craft spatula and spread Nuvo clear glimmer paste over the feather stencil.  Carefully remove the stencil and immediately wash with warm, soapy water to remove the paste (it dries quickly!)

The sentiment is a die from Tonic and cut from white card stock. I sponged the blue mousse over the die cut and then adhered it to the front of the card over the feathers.  I layered this onto teal glitter paper and then adhered these layers to a white card base.  More to follow......

Foil Card for a Friend

This card is so appropriate for this morning!  It is a cloudy, damp, drizzley kind of day.  I made this card for a friend's birthday coming up in April.  You know, April showers brings May flowers😊

I created this card using Dreamweaver's white stencil paste and their stencil.  Once dry, I placed Deco Art's aqua watercolor foil on top of the stencil paste and run through the laminator.  The umbrella die is from My Favorite Things.  I cut the umbrella from Deco Arts toner paper, placed the foil on top and once again, run through the laminator.

I've been having so much fun creating with the foil and all my different types of stencils and dies.  Highly recommend you give it a try!

Another Fun with Foil Card

Here's another foil creation.  This one was created using the same technique in my previous post.

The stencil is from Dreamweavers.  Apply paste over the stencil onto black card stock, remove stencil and let dry.  Be sure to clean your stencil and palette knife immediately.  Place lime green foil on top of the dry stencil paste and place between parchment paper and run through a laminator.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.  Another one to follow:)
